I have met many teachers and gurus - in fact many of them have come to me
for a consultation. I know for a fact that some of them are teaching
monogamy while having multiple affairs. One famous guru talked publicly
about how he had gone beyond sex - while have regular sex - with my
girlfriend. And so it goes. Nothing ‘wrong’ and, what are we doing to ourselves!
Same with most interviewers, scientists, and peace organisations - talking
theory while their own life is not working. In the past I was called to
consult with a peace organisation - that was having wars in their
meetings! Competition.
....Seems so difficult for people to disconnect from their self-centred opinions and
judgements.
As Devesh often points out, the guidelines are, to only write from the
experience the person is having at the very moment of writing.
If not, write, but don’t send.
Doesn’t happen. Mostly, what we get is advice, judgements, opinions.
The world is very well stocked with opinions from people who are not
living in their freedom. Theory. Millions of books, and now the Web.
One argument that comes up is that people feel they have the right to
share their opinion. What we have been attempting on IMLtalk - is not to
do that.
Up comes: “I have the right to say what I feel.” Even if that statement
was true (and not just the neurosis vomiting) that is not what we are
suggesting.
As Devesh often points out, there are plenty of places to bullshit.
And up comes, “I have the right…” And I say, how would you feel if some
bum moves into your house and trashes the place? Exactly. Your designated
space.
When you watch/hear people like Anthony de Mellow, Mooji, Ananda Giri,
Krishna Murti - don’t you feel it? - they are not giving an intellectual
opinion - it is their right-in-that-very-moment-reality.
It could be seen that, anything is else is just idle entertainment?

Bruce Lipton seems to be an exception.
